Trump Is Attacked By Alex Jones

  • by

Conservative commentator Alex Jones has lashed out at former President Donald Trump for disavowing Project 2025, a controversial initiative aimed at overhauling the federal government should Trump be reelected. Jones accused Trump’s advisers of misleading him and claimed that there is a power struggle emerging within the Trump camp.

Jones claimed on his show that Trump is informed by his advisors and those who genuinely want to avoid competition in his new White House. “These people are extremists, sir—oh God. You’ve got to come out and distance yourself.'” Jones believes that Trump’s advisers are trying to secure jobs in his second administration and are advising him to distance himself from the project.

Project 2025, drafted by the Heritage Foundation, outlines a plan to ensure Republican loyalists are in place at all levels of the federal government to implement conservative policies from the first days of a new Republican administration. The 900-page document proposes reducing civil service roles, expanding presidential power, and staffing agencies with politically aligned appointees before implementing various conservative policies, including eliminating the Department of Education and reducing the scope of Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security.

Trump disavowed the project on July 5, saying, “I know nothing about Project 2025. I don’t know who is responsible for it. I disagree with some of the things they’re saying and some of the things they’re saying are absolutely ridiculous and abysmal.” Trump’s reluctance to embrace the plan has angered some Republicans, who see it as a vital step in implementing conservative policies.

Jones, however, believes that Trump is being misled by his advisers and that he should support the project. “It’s the Heritage Foundation, Trump. And once more, Trump is quite intelligent and has good judgment. Jones remarked, “He has no understanding of Republican machinery.”

The controversy surrounding Project 2025 has sparked a heated debate, with President Joe Biden criticizing the plan and Trump’s connection to it. Biden said in a statement, “He’s trying to hide his connections to his allies’ extreme Project 2025 agenda. The only problem? Those closest to him wrote it specifically for him. Every American should be terrified about Project 2025.”

A spokesperson for Project 2025 has denied any connection to Trump’s campaign, saying, “As we’ve been saying for more than two years now, Project 2025 does not speak for any candidate or campaign. Our coalition, which consists of over 110 conservative organizations, promotes personnel and policy proposals for the upcoming conservative president.”

The controversy surrounding Project 2025 is likely to continue, with many Republicans divided on the issue. As the 2024 presidential election approaches, it remains to be seen whether Trump will reconsider his stance on the project and whether it will become a major campaign issue.
